Facilities include a fitness suite, four computer rooms, purpose-built dance and drama studios, four court sports hall, all-weather pitches, specially designed science laboratories and state of the art technology facilities. The school is multi-cultural and reflects the diversity of the local population. The school has an innovative curriculum covering the national curriculum along with a range of other subjects. The visual and performing arts have a high profile in the school and provision is enhanced by the use of visiting specialists from the local community and beyond. As a sports college, with first class facilities, the school is committed to encouraging participation of pupils of all abilities and promoting a healthy lifestyle. New courses have been developed in outdoor adventure activities, dance, fitness and the nationally accredited Junior Sports Leader Award.
