General information

Background: Haywood High School is a community, comprehensive school for boys and girls aged 11 to 16 years, situated in the city of Hereford. The school has good sports facilities. These include a sports hall and a gymnasium. It also has a grass area which in the winter is divided up into two inches, one rugby pitch and coaching grids. In the summer the school has a six lane grass athletic track and two rounders pitches. Throwing areas marked out and there are ample long jump and triple jump pits. Hard court areas, parts of which are floodlit, are marked out for football, tennis and netball. It has friendly and well developed links with the primary schools within the area and with post 16 institutions and has superb facilities, ICT suite, library and specialist classrooms. The school aim is to providing and maintaining a disciplined, caring environment in which teachers can teach and pupils can learn.
