General information

Background: Founded in 1979, the school was moved to Culloden, a large suburb of Inverness, in 1982. It has seen 'significant increases in academic attainment at Higher grade' since June 1997. The departments of art, music, the sciences and business studies attract the largest numbers of pupils. In sport, the girls' basketball team has proved the most notable in recent years, reaching national finals. The school also benefits from strong links with the local community through the community education department. School facilities are used by members of the public for various activities in the evenings and at weekends. Five teaching and five auxiliary staff provide assistance to pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
