General information
Background: Located in the small town of Fort Augustus, on the edge of the famous Loch Ness, Kilchuimen is a 'friendly, caring and purposeful' school. Extra-curricular activities vary from year to year due to staff provision and pupils' interests. At present the lunch-time programme includes indoor football, games, chess and a singing group. The school has a large playing field, and there is access to common land for cross country running. Pupils with special educational needs (SEN) are assisted by a part-time learning support teacher and a part-time learning support auxiliary both in class and in a workroom dedicated to this purpose.
