General information

Background: Chiswick Community School is a co-educational comprehensive school. The school offers a wide range of activities to everyone from pre-school children to senior citizens. Recent developments include: a new computer room for the science faculty; the refurbishment of an existing computer aided design in technology; new computer aided manufacture equipment in technology; the refurbishment of two ICT rooms, a brand new cyber café in the sixth form block for use by students, staff and the wider community and a range of software packages. Its curriculum includes new courses in science, mathematics, technology and ICT. There is more emphasis on technological solutions and applications and a wider range of work-related learning experiences for students. Its sports complex has a large main hall, multigym and two squash courts. There is also a floodlit hard and grass tennis courts on site. It also uses Chiswick boat house near Barnes Bridge. The school?s mission is to ensure that students at Chiswick Community School develop the tools to learn effectively throughout their lives. It wants them to acquire the qualifications, values and attitudes for them to be successful in an ever changing environment. .
