General information

Background: Heston Community School has served its local community in west London since 1932. It provides adult and community education programmes in addition to education for boys and girls aged 11 to 18 years. The school shares a campus adjacent to the open spaces of Osterley Park with Heston junior and infant schools and also a sports hall, some five miles from Heathrow airport. Each faculty is accommodated in its own area of the three main teaching blocks. The four-storey Norwood Block is home to technology, art and special educational needs as well as the dining hall. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. Sporting activities include basketball, football, netball, hockey, cricket, dance, gym, rounders and athletics, badminton, tennis, aerobics, fitness and cross-country running. The school aims to encourage the full development of each child as an individual.
