General information

Background: St Mark's is the successor to Archbishop Myers School, which was opened on the same site in 1960 and changed its name in 1973. It is situated just to the west of Hounslow town centre. The school serves the Catholic community of west London. Its catchment area extends from Hounslow across the borough of Richmond, Hillingdon, Ealing and Spelthorne. A science centre and a learning resources centre were added in 1993, a business studies centre in 1994, a chapel in 1995 and a two-storey sixth form extension in 1996. The school opened a new technology suite in September 1999 and a new music block is under construction. The school is a Specialist Technology College. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered in the school including football, netball, rugby, hockey, tennis and choir. St Mark?s is highly successful in terms of developing the whole person and academic achievements. The community of St Mark?s believes that every individual is created by God, and is precious to God. Each person is called to serve God and their neighbour and to fulfil their potential.
