General information

Background: Archers Court School is a co-educational secondary modern school. In September 2004 the school became the first Mathematics and Computing College in the Dover and Deal area. Over the past two years the school's facilities have improved dramatically. It now has eight well-equipped science laboratories, a superb design technology suite, seven mathematics rooms and five ICT classrooms - all with interactive whiteboards, video conference facilities and newly refurbished learning centre. There is a new sports hall, a gymnasium and extensive playing fields for athletics, rugby, football etc. The school?s unique Aspen2 unit is housed in purpose-built, state-of-the-art facilities, which provides students with a wide range of complex special educational needs. The school offers a variety of activities and clubs, which encourage students to become fully involved in the day-to-day life of the school. These include Duke of Edinburgh Award, youth club, study trips, fun trips, theatre visits and fund raising for worthy causes. Archers Court is a dynamic, supportive, happy and forward looking school where every student is encouraged to become more adaptable, independent and self-reliant to achieve success and aim for excellence. .
