General information
Background: Located near the centre of Dover; 'forward-looking community' emphasising high academic standards and personal fulfilment; classes kept small, with average size of 24. In addition to National Curriculum, students can take classes in performing arts, Spanish and Latin. Extra-curricular activities include archaeology, rugby and cricket. Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and Millennium Volunteers are popular activities. Exchange visits to foreign countries with past trips including Germany, France and China. Regulary raises more than £7,000 a year for charities. This school has a friendly environment in which the focus is enjoying and achieving. There are excellent relationship between students, and between students and teachers.
