General information

Background: Founded in 1630, the school has views of the Wye Downs and Ashford; serves the rapidly-exanding market and railway town of Ashford and the surrounding villages; along with the growth of the town, the school has grown from four- to five-form entry and a new extension has opened. It occupies an area, overlooked by the North Downs, of about 30 acres on the eastern edge of the town, offering enough space to accommodate football,hockey and cricket pitches and an all-weather area; also outdoor swimming pool and cricket pavilion. Newly-equipped ICT and technology suites. Wide range of extra-curricular activities, including strong sport, music and drama; drama productions in association with local girls' school. Specialist language college status. Over-subscribed, with more than two applications per place. Investor in People status.
