General information
Headteacher: David Humphreys.
Background: Woodhouse Grove School is well situated in a lovely rural setting, which is less than five miles from the centre of Leeds and Bradford and only five minutes from Leeds/Bradford airport. Screened by trees, the school's 70 acre campus sits in the broad Aire Valley with the dales and moors to the north. Cultural visits, sports fixtures and work experience are easily accessible with Bradford lying to the south, Manchester to the west and Leeds and York to the east.Since 1812 Woodhouse Grove has provided a first class all round education. There have been changes over the years of course, as the school has expanded, curriculum developed and new buildings provided. The school is currently undergoing further re-development of the school's facilities. Planning permission is soon to be sought for a new state of the art music and drama building. The boarding house has twin study bedrooms with en-suite facilities, lounge areas and a games room and provides accommodation for 44 senior boys. The new building was officially opened by General Sir Michael Walker, Chief of the Defence Staff, who is a former pupil of the Grove, at a ceremony in March 2006. .
