Background: Hastings high school is opened in 1956 and has become a popular, well-regarded community school within the Burbage community. The school has excellent facilities in an attractive setting. Its newly-refurbished ICT facilities comprising 75 computers are outstanding, providing state of the art technology enabling children to learn and apply computer skills in excellent facilities. Outside the classroom the range of various activities are offered to the pupils. These may take place during lunchtime or after-school. These activities include athletics, cricket, tennis in summers and hockey, netball, rugby, soccer, cross-country and basketball in winters. The school exists to provide all children with a high quality learning experience, within an educationally stimulating, supportive and safe environment.
