General information

Background: Birkbeck is a modern, non-selective school, situated in a rural setting near the Lincolnshire coast. The school was gained Specialist Arts College status in September 2003. The range and scope of school clubs and other activities has grown enormously over recent years. These include games club, design and technology club, art club, after-school fitness club, badminton club, ICT club and lunchtime aerobics club. The school offers a large range of academic GCSE subjects and vocational qualifications. Educational visits are also arranged both in this country and abroad to enhance the curriculum. The school has strong links with the local community and business helping to prepare students for their future. This school has also achieved the following awards: Investor in People, Basic Skills Quality Mark and Artsmark Gold. The school aims to provide caring and friendly environment.
