General information

Background: Founded in 1879, the school is set in very attractive grounds in rural Lincolnshire. It is based around lovely old Victorian school buildings, with a 1960s extension and mobile classrooms. It has a long history of educational excellence with regard to all abilities. The school works closely with the church and local community. It has a reputation as a caring and forward-looking school. The school offers an increasing range of extra-curricular activities. Tuition is offered in flute, clarinet, trombone and guitar. Sports clubs include football, cross-country, cricket and dance. The school held the title of Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire Small Schools swimming champions in 1999 and represented the region at the National Finals. The school organises many charity fundraising events. The school aims to educate the children within a caring, responsible and happy Christian environment, where every child is aware of the value of their work and that of others. .
