General information
Background: Built in 1962; has grown from two-classroom building to one that houses five classrooms, computer study area, Key Stage 1 and 2 libraries, and a hall; also playground, large sports field, conservation/pond area, and new adventure play area. 'A caring school where the needs and aspirations of all pupils are provided for by all staff who are fully dedicated to their charges.' School is seeking development grant to expand to seven classes. Wide selection of extra-curricular activities, including gym club, football and cricket club, netball, gardening, art and craft, country dancing, and Rosary club. Tag rugby team are national champions, winning Powergen Cup at Twickenham. Regular swimming lessons at local school; also cross-country. Individual music tuition available in range of instruments; dance workshops and variety of productions; Key Stage 2 visit to British Museum; residential trip to Norfolk for Year 5 and 6.Basic Skills Quality Mark (2003); DfES achievement award (2003).
