General information
Background: Archbishop Blanch was formed in 1981 from two smaller, well-established schools with sound reputations. It is housed in recently constructed buildings on a single site in a city-centre location. It occupies an elevated position overlooking the Anglican and Catholic cathedrals and the Liver Building. The school offers developing facilities catering more than adequately for the whole curriculum including excellent sports facilities, a craft, design and technology workshop and a large sports hall. The choir has represented England at the Eisteddfod, and the school has also produced Young Enterprise winners. Teams from the school are Merseyside hockey and netball champions, and it has won several national art competitions. The school seeks to create a caring community where Christian principles and standards are upheld, and where every individual matters. .
