It is fully equipped with the necessary facilities to provide an excellent education. It is pleased that its specialist facilities now include: three ICT suits will be on line and broadband connected; excellent sporting facilities include rugby and football pitches, gymnasium and full access to tennis and squash courts; a fully equipped and attractive learning resources centre where students have acces to computers, CD Roms, photocopiers, television and video as well as the internet, all of which will promote independent learning, student research and coursework.Over the next two years over £9000000 is being spent on new buildings and the refurbishment of existing buildings at Rutlish. Most impressive will be brand new, two-storey, architect designed block that is to be situated in a discrete corner of the school grounds. It will house: three superb studios for teaching area; seven fully equipped technology workshops; new and extended drama studio space with lights and balckout and new music classrooms to promote creativity and originality. The new block will also include a sports hall meaning that Rutlish can offer an even more exciting range of activities. Other improvements extend out across the school; science laboratories will be completely refurbished; teaching rooms for mathematics and modern foreign languages will be fully renovated; English will be housed in a new teaching area. The school aims to create a stimulating and safe environment in which all students achieve their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.
