General information
Background: Located in the village of Brooke, seven miles from the city of Norwich and close to the Norfolk Broads, the school attracts children from not only Brooke and neighbouring villages, but also further afield. Founded in 1838, the accommodation comprises a Victorian building with several extensions and a terrapin building which contains a classroom, group room and the Headteacher's office. A playground, adventure play area and nature area are also located on the site. At present, visiting music teachers provide tuition in woodwind instruments and the guitar. Pupils also benefit from the opportunity to participate in a wide range of organised events within the school and the county. Special events within the school include book week, information and communication technology (ICT) week and maths day. A number of activities are offered outside of school hours, including football, netball, water sports and kwik cricket. Concerts and whole school productions are open to all pupils and the majority choose to take part. In addition to educational day visits, children in Years 3 to 6 also have the opportunity to participate in regular residential trips. .
