General information

Background: Methwold High School is a mixed comprehensive school, which welcomes students of all abilities aged between 11 and 18 who live both within the school's catchment area and outside. It lies in the heart of West Norfolk on the outskirts of the village of Methwold. The main school building contains assembly hall, dining hall, gymnasium with changing rooms, administrative offices, specialist rooms for design technology, electronics, home economics, textiles, art and 15 general classrooms. Most recent building has included laboratories, library/resources centre and specialist areas for modern languages, mathematics and two information and communication technology suites, special educational needs, a music room with practice areas, a drama studio and in 1989 a business studies centre. The school aims to give everyone in its community: a desire to learn, the confidence to strive for excellence and pride in achievement.
