General information

Background: Opened in 1969 in a single-storey building in pleasant grounds in a residential area of Cleethorpes, not far from the seafront. Almost half of the pupils come to the school from beyond its traditional catchment area. The school has broad and balanced curriculum ,including French and other extra-curricular activities such as orchestra, choir and sporting activities. The school has a swimming pool, which adds to the range of sports on offer. The home-school association raises funds for school facilities; a monthly school newspaper keeps parents up-to-date about the workings of the school. Before-school care, from 7.45am; after-school care, until 6pm. Beacon status; DfES achievement award. Ethos: 'The school aims to develop a reasoned set of attitudes, values and beliefs among the pupils.' .
