General information
Background: The Leas Junior School is situated in the village of Waltham. It was officially opened in 1957. There are 11 classrooms, a hall, a library and administrative rooms. In 2004, two new classrooms, an IT suite and a new library are being built. The school shares the site with its feeder infant school. The grounds have facilities for sport, a wildlife area, and several grassed open spaces. A range of extra-curricular activities are offered to the children, ranging from football teams for both boys and girls to an orchestra. The school regularly performs musical and dramatic productions both for parents and charitable causes. .
