Background: Founded in 1974 on pleasant 70-acre site near town centre; serves local community and greater Belfast area. New purpose-built £7 million extension, comprising sports hall, home economics suite, English rooms, learning resource centre, sixth-form centre, lecture theatre, home economics, art and music suites. Extensive ICT provision, with cluster rooms, computers and interactive whiteboards in every department. Extensive range of extra-curricular activities includes orchestra and choirs, rugby, hockey, drama and dance.
