General information

Background: Originally built as a village school in 1906, Appleton Roebuck was extended in 1989 and a conservatory was added in 2000. Facilities include three classrooms, orchard, wild area, 'extensive' hard play area, playing field, hall, computer suite and dining area. Extra-curricular activities do vary due to staff interests, but currently French, gymnastics and booster classes are offered. At lunchtime, pupils can become involved in the school band, football coaching sessions and recorder groups. Children can take part in football, netball, gymnastics, choir, chess, athletics, cricket and rounders competitively. 'Strong' community links have been developed, including a partnership with the local playgroup. The school has full wheelchair access and an 'inclusive approach' to special educational needs (SEN) provision.
