Background: Cędmon School is a key stage 3 mixed county secondary comprehensive school for pupils between the age of 11 and 14. It serves the small North Yorkshire town of Whitby. A wide range of extra-curricular acitivites are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include tennis, basketball, athletics, cross-country, tennis, cricket and football.
