General information
Background: There has been a school in Romanby since 1875, and it has occupied its present site since 1953. It is housed in a single storey building with seven classrooms, a hall, a 'well-used' library, wildlife area and 'attractive' herb garden. Extra-curricular activities include football, netball, rounders, cricket, short tennis, chess, gymnastics, choir and recorder. Each year the school supports local charities through fund raising events such as harvest festivals. Romanby aims to 'create a happy, caring and stimulating environment in which the children in our care may flourish and develop socially, creatively and academically'.
