Background: Danesholme Junior School provides full-time education to pupils aged 7 to 11 years. It lies on the Danesholme estate, on the western side of Corby. It receives additional support from central government as it is in area designated as an Education Action Zone. A specialist teacher teaches French to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. The school has achieved Investor in people status, Sport England Activemark and has been presented with the Northamptonshire Healthy Schools Silver Award. The school offers after-school activities such as ICT, art, drama clubs, science and chess clubs.
