General information
Background: Montsaye developed from a secondary modern and received its first comprehensive intake in 1976, doubling in size between 1976 and 1981. The school is on a 20-acre site on the edge of a small town. It has its own playing fields and building programmes are in progress to provide a sports hall and swimming pool. It upgraded its technology facilities in 1993. The school is not over-subscribed. It has a Schools Curriculum Award, enjoys links with the European Union and counts drama, technology and music among its 'strengths'. 'The school believes in the value of the comprehensive system and curricular entitlement, and therefore aims for all-round excellence.' .
