General information

Background: The Duston School is a community comprehensive school. It is committed to providing and maintaining a high quality education for all its students and to meeting their needs and expectations. The school offers a wide range of facilities for students before, during and after the school day, which enables them to enhance their learning and development. These include two libraries and a resource centre, which are open outside school hours; offering extended learning opportunities and study facilities. In addition to an extensive range of subjects, which provide opportunities for students to develop their own particular skills and interests it offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities to broaden their horizons. This includes a variety of sports clubs and teams, which are able to make the most of its well-equipped sports hall, gym, swimming pool and outdoor areas. All students participate in PE and are encouraged to develop any interests and skills they may have through the clubs and teams on offer. The school is committed to providing and maintaining a high quality education for all its students and to meeting their needs and expectations.
