General information
Background: Wilby Church of England Primary was built next to the village church in 1854 in a single room which is now the hall. Extensions have since been built to accommodate the growing school population and links with the church and community remain 'strong'. The school is a member of a cluster which competes in sporting tournaments, quizzes and residential visits to Scarborough and Derbyshire. Extra-curricular activities include music, art, netball and rugby clubs. Children take part in fundraising for charities and appeals such as Red Nose Day, Jeans for Genes, the Kosovo Appeal, Unicef, NCH Action for Children and the local Daylight Centre for the homeless.
