General information

Background: North Border Junior School is a seven to 11 years co-educational school situated in the mining village of Harworth/Bircotes in the district of Bassetlaw, North Nottinghamshire. The school was built in 1926 and has 17 classrooms surrounding a hall and grassed quad area. There is also an adventure playground to the rear of the school. 10 of the classrooms are used as class teaching areas whilst others are used for special needs support, cookery/pottery and a staffroom. The school has a designated ICT suite with 30 Pc's. The school offers a range of extra-curricular activities at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include rounders, athletics, cross-country, orchestra, choir and chess. The school aims to create an environment in which all children are valued and their self-esteem is paramount.
