General information

Background: The Good Shepherd Catholic Primary, Arnold, was originally founded in 1952 as one building, but now has seperate buildings for the foundation unit, Key Stage 1, and key stage 2. An ICT suite has just be completed attached to the main building, which houses 25 computers. The school has an apple orchard, two play grounds and a football pitch. Music tuition is available in claret, brass, violin, guitar and recorder. There are French and Spanish clubs and sports including football, cricket, netball, baseball, swimming, athletics, cross-county, for both girls and boys. The Parents' and Teachers' Association have raised £12,000 over the last two years. There is mass for the whole school at least once a month and the school supplies readers for the 10 o'clock Sunday mass at the Good Shepherd Church.
