General information

Background: Bartholomew School is a mixed comprehensive school, which offers an exciting educational atmosphere for approximately 1000 students, aged 11-18. There has been a school in Eynsham village since 1700 and since the new school was founded in 1958. The department provides courses for all year groups in school and provides a firm base of skills for students to use across the curriculum and in future life. The music room is very well resourced and has a number of electronic keyboards with an increasing variety of percussion instruments. Extra-curricular musical activities play an important part in the life of the department and the school. Planned activities include orchestra, wind and string groups, choirs, recorder group and chamber music for the more advanced instrumentalists. The school aims to provide a range of opportunities for the widest development of skills and talents.
