General information

Background: Hailey School is a friendly village school. Hailey School was founded in 1847 by the Vicar, the Reverend George Rolfe. Classroom accommodation at present is either in the original Victorian building (juniors), or the temporary classroom. At Hailey School it has 18-networked computers with broadband access to the internet. These computers, with their printers, are mainly situated in classrooms, where they are used regularly throughout the school day. All children have opportunities to listen to, respond to, compose and perform a wide variety of music. The school is fortunate to have a large playing field and a new sports hall, which are used for teaching national curriculum PE, as well as for its after-school gym and tag rugby clubs. The school aims to provide the best-possible education for all its children, within the context of Christian belief and practice, so that each one can achieve his or her potential.
