It is a large village lying at the edge of the Cotswolds mid-way between Banbury and Chipping Norton. The village is well served by a wide range of services including the famous Hook Norton Brewery. It has served the local community as a Church Controlled School now for over 100 years. In 1993 the School moved to a purpose-built premises (including Nursery), previously housed in a converted secondary school building where it moved in the 1960's from its original Victorian site (now the Library and Playgroup).
