Background: King Alfred's Community and Sports College is an impressive choice of sporting activities including water polo, rugby, basketball, football, and table tennis and in the summer term tennis, cricket and ultimate Frisbee. It has wide range of sporting activities including table tennis, rugby, dance, squash, water polo, netball, basketball, trampolining, gymnastics, football, badminton, swimming, sailing, cricket. The school's programme of after-college electives enables over 1000 students to take part in more than 80 additional learning opportunities. These activities include: Japanese, Latin, German, environmental club, digital photography, big art and over 30 different sporting activities. It has a variety of well-established and successful links within the local area. The college aims to provide the finest possible education for the young men and women of tommarow.
