General information

Background: Mayfield is a co-educational comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 19 years. There are 1390 students on roll. A balanced education for all students is the primary aim of the school. Specialist areas are well equipped and it is particularly proud of its music suite and the extensive playing fields, sports hall, gymnasium and fitness room facilities. Students are encouraged to participate in the wide range of activities on offer outside normal lessons. These facilities allow for sports such as tennis, football, basketball, badminton, gymnastics, netball, hockey, cricket and athletics to take place in and outside all year round. The school seeks to develop its students to become active citizens well equipped to learn throughout their lives and succeed in a rapidly changing world.
