Background: Linacre is a community primary school. The school aims to promote personal, social, intellectual and physical skills and also to foster co-operation, tolerance, self-esteem and a sense of fair play. The school offers a range of sporting activities, in line with the national curriculum, which includes dance, games, gymnastics, athletics and swimming. The school tries and offers a wide range of activities for the children to enjoy out of school hours. During the year these may include a range of sports clubs, art, craft, mathematics, gardening, German, science and computing clubs. The school has excellent information and communication technology. The school has achieved the Basic Skills Quality Mark. The school aims to help children to develop lively, inquiring minds and a love of learning.
