General information

Background: Originally opened in 1840, the school moved to its present building in 1975. It offers seven classrooms (one for each year group) a hall and an ICT suite. There are separate play areas for infants and juniors. School and P.T.A are currently raising funds for a creative outdoor play area for the Foundation stage. Updates to the building include new windows and doors with disabled access and a new roof. All children currently learn Spanish as well as their national curriculum entitlement and religious education. The school provides a range of educational visits and opportunities to enhance learning. After-school activities include: maths club, chess club, netball, football, recorder group and kids excel (a keep fit programme). At harvest-time the choir performs songs and presents gifts to a local residential home for the elderly. This is a caring and Christian school. There are high expectations for the children's behaviour, manners and achievements.
