General information

Background: Chaucer School is an 11-16 co-educational community comprehensive school within the Sheffield local education authority. The school is situated on a large, pleasant and much improved site in the north of the city. The major re-building programme has provided excellent facilities including a new teaching block for science, technology and art, the creation of a new library and information centre, new facilities for music and drama and a new, full-size sports hall. The school has a wide range of activities, groups and clubs which include: art, drama, dance netball, football, hockey, tennis, rounders, weight lifting, table tennis, orienteering, reading club, mathematics clubs, computer club, musical activities and design. The school aims to provide a safe and caring environment with a focus on support, encouragement and challenge.
