General information
Background: Opened in 1971; close to centre of Solihull; reputation for academic achievement; also performing arts and sport. Some pupils are church choristers at St Alphege Church; others attend church-affiliated organisations. 'The school is a challenging but improving school in which the process of selef-evaluation support a climate of learning and improvement.' Extensive extra-curricular activities, with every member of staff organising at least one club. Before-school care, from 8am; after-school care, until 6pm. Over-subscribed. Artsmark Gold (2003); DfES achievement award (2002). Ethos: 'Strong Christian ethos embraces traditional caring and family values.' .
