Background: The City Technology College Kingshurst opened in September 1988, the first city technology college and has pioneered a new partnership in education, bringing together the world of industry, commerce and education and has excellent results and enthusiastic staff. The college has developed rapidly and now accommodates 1500 students of all abilities, from the age of 11 to 19, and 85 teaching staff. This college is situated in North Solihull, and its intake is from North Solihull and East Birmingham. The City Technology College Kingshurst is to create and sustain an optium environment in which staff deliver an innovative, challenging and exciting that is relevant and appropriate for students of all abilities, is of the highest quality and enjoys the confidence and support of all.
