General information

Background: Founded in 1707, Kilmersdon Church of England Primary School was extensively updated and modernised in 2000 to provide an outstanding learning environment for the new millennium. All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and networked computers. The school has a strong tradition of music and drama, and won the National ?Write Here Write Now? writing award in 2003. Children are encouraged to develop their own academic goals and strive for excellence in all that they do. There is a flourishing parent-teacher association (PTA), which invites all parents to help with organising fund-raising and social events. Links with the local church are close, with vicars sometimes invited to work with children in the classroom. A Christian school at the heart of the community which recognises and values the uniqueness of every child, helping all to achieve their best within a happy, secure and creative environment.
