General information

Background: Parcroft is a Somerset community junior school, which caters for boys and girls from the age of seven to 11 years. The school is fortunate in having spacious buildings and outside areas for learning and recreation. These include a separate hall, gymnasium, library, ICT suite, music room, learning support centre and 13 class teaching rooms. In addition to hard play areas, there is a substantial playing field and attractive garden areas including a pond. The school not only teaches the traditional academic subjects but also provides each pupil with the social skills that are needed for life in school and beyond. Educational visits are arranged to support the school work. The school is also used in the evenings for different activities including keep fit, theatre and various football training groups. The school aims to provide a safe, happy, caring and well-ordered environment, in which learning can take place and where each child is valued as an individual.
