Background: The school shares a site with Banbridge Academy and is housed in 'modern, well-equipped' classrooms. Additional facilities include an 'excellent' library, a music room and three purpose built special educational needs (SEN) units. The school is marginally over-subscribed. Parental support is 'very strong', and parents helped raise money to buy new PCs and colour printers for every classroom. Sports include hockey, soccer, mini-rugby, netball, volleyball, cricket and swimming. Boys and girls are encouraged to participate in all sport. Extra-curricular activities include a science and technology club, drama club and school choir. Local community services are supported and the school participates fully in Education for Mutual Understanding programmes. The school supports child-centred charities annually.
