Background: Portadown College was founded in 1924, and has been a grammar school since 1969; occupies an elevated campus half-a-mile from Portadown town centre; renowned for academic reputation. Wide range of extra-curricular activities, including rugby, hockey, golf, athletics, tennis, netball, volleyball, debating, Scripture Union, drama, ski trips, orchestra, choirs, Duke of Edinburgh, camera club, Young Enterprise; numerous local and international community projects to improve the lives of others. Pastoral care is valued. Seeking to gain International Schools Award in recognition of charitable as international links and exchange visits with Spain, France, Germany, and Kenya.
