Background: Result of merger in September 2003 of St Patrick's Boys' Academy and St Patrick's Girls' Academy. Year 13 students raised £17,000 for School Aid Romania; Young Enterprise team won first prize in Southern Board Trade Fair; success for boys' and girls' teams in gaelic football. Newly-formed debating society; thriving conservation and environmental groups. Clubs: Amnesty International, astronomy, cookery, current affairs society, modern languages, science. Over-subscribed, with 1.5 applications per place. Ethos: 'To encourage all pupils to develop a sense of self-worth as well as reaching their full potential with regard to all aspects of their education, spiritual, academic, physical, cultural, emotional and social.' .
