General information
Background: Florendine was built in 1973, and became a primary school in 1992. There was a 'major extension' of its teaching facilities in 1995 and 1999, and its accommodation is also suitable for pupils with special physical needs. Each year, the school raises funds for charities including an on-going sponsorship of a child in Zimbabwe. The school is currently over-subscribed and receives 1.8 applications for every place. The school's aim is 'the care, support and development of the independent child'. .
