General information
Background: Bramford is a Church of England voluntary controlled primary school that caters for children between four to 11 years of age. It is situated to the west of Ipswich, some three miles from the town centre. In 1860 the school was housed in what is now the Old School building, transferring to its present site the Old Bramford Modern School in the 1960s. The school continues to have strong links with the Church. There is a modern computer suite that provides access for all children. Physical education including dance, gymnastics, games and swimming is a prominent part of school life. The school offers various extra-curricular activities and clubs. Most take place after-school and include football, netball, athletics, drama, environmental club, recorders and choir. Children can also take peripatetic music lessons in violin and brass. In order to create a positive and happy atmosphere, the school endeavours to cultivate respect for the Christian tradition and create a community in which pupils are cared for as individuals. .
