Background: Built in 1964; kept up to date by continuous programme of redecoration and refurbishment, including new science, music and languages block. Setting is stunningly beautiful on rural western edge of picturesque village of Debenham. The school roll has risen considerably. Specialist sicence college status from September 2005. Over-subscribed, with 1.3 applications per place. DfES achievement award. Ethos: 'The ethos of this small school is positive, encouraging and calm, with high expectations and standards.' .
