General information

Background: Founded in 1973, the school is housed mainly in single-storey buildings, set in approximately 15 acres of grounds in Constable country. Sporting facilities consist of a wide range of courts, athletics tracks and pitches, one of which is a floodlit all-weather pitch. It has been a technology college since 1998 and this has enabled it to open a new technology block and expand the school computer network to 220 terminals, one of the largest in Suffolk. English, science, technology and vocational courses are particular strengths and all students study information and communication technology. Sixth form students can choose from courses in law, psychology, sociology, information and communication technology, as well as a full range of arts, humanities and sciences. The school aims to provide a caring and stimulating environment.
